TwoNations is not a peace project.
It's not about "fixing the world," "making everyone friends," or pretending cultures naturally understand each other.
They don't.
And that blindness — the filters, shortcuts, myths and inherited narratives — shapes how young people see the world today.
TwoNations exists to remove that fog.
We explore how people in different countries actually think, talk, argue, joke, love, fear, stereotype and misunderstand each other.
Not with textbooks.
Not with political narratives.
But through stories, moments, history, travel, small human details — the things that reveal how cultures really work.
This is a platform for those who grew up in a world that feels polarized, fast, loud, and often distorted.
Here, we slow down the noise and look directly at the thing itself:
what people really see when they look across a border.
No beautification
No demonization
Just clarity
Our content is multilingual — English, French, Portuguese — because each language unlocks a different angle of reality.
The goal is simple:
to give young people tools to understand other perspectives without needing to agree with them.
When you see clearly, you don't become "more tolerant."
You become less manipulated.
Less confused.
And more grounded in your own identity.
TwoNations is for anyone curious about how the world actually works behind the headlines, behind the memes, behind the stereotypes.
Not about uniting nations.
About understanding why they see things differently — and what that reveals about us.

Vlad Lario
My name is Vlad Lario. I was born beyond the Arctic Circle, somewhere between the cold, the northern lights, and the absurd idea of teaching French to children who had never seen Paris except in photographs. Early on, I dreamed of becoming a diplomat: speaking multiple languages, traveling, shaking important hands, signing papers with overly expensive pens…
But life loves plot twists: I failed French on the ministry entrance exam, and my diplomatic career ended before it even began.
So I turned to what I do best: creating projects. Many projects.
I founded Aloha Club, a linguistic and cultural club for young people, which brought together more than 2,000 people at its events. Later, I created a facility management company, now one of the largest in its field. Then I became co-founder of CryoBioBank, a biobank that preserves biomaterials through cryogenics — definitely more serious than it sounds.
Between entrepreneurial adventures, I lived for several years in Portugal, where I learned to love Lisbon, its relaxed pace, and its far-too-tempting pastéis de nata. I've also traveled to 50+ countries. And I was deeply moved by the Paris Olympic Games: the energy of the city, the openness of the people, that feeling of witnessing a rare moment of global unity.
Today, I'm building Two Nations — a project that mixes everything I love: languages, cultures, history, misunderstandings between countries, humor, and that stubborn idea that peoples can understand each other even when states no longer speak.
I'm not a diplomat. I don't own a three-piece suit. But I sincerely believe in honest conversations — even if they're uncomfortable, sometimes funny, but always real.
