Russia in Japan: the quietest cultural bridge on the internet
Between Russia and Japan there is almost no shared media space — which is exactly why the handful of channels that sit in the middle are worth knowing.
The Japanese-language part of the directory is small and unusually domestic. What it covers is not geopolitics but kitchens, schools, trains, bilingual children and the small mechanics of two cultures that both treat politeness as infrastructure.
Mixed-family channels do most of the work here. One parent films, the other translates, and the result is the kind of material no institution produces: what a Russian winter looks like to a Japanese viewer, and what a Japanese supermarket looks like to a Russian one.
As everywhere in the directory, inclusion is not endorsement. We list a channel when its links work, it has posted recently enough to be useful, and its authorship is publicly traceable.
